Accommodation Options

There are currently 49 Independent Living Units (ILUs) on site at Cooinda Village. ILUs vary from 1 bedroom units with garage to 2 bedroom units complete with a study, ensuite and second toilet.

Cooinda Village has 10 Community Aged Care Packages with a case manager on site.

We have 78 single rooms for low care, dementia specific and hight care residents. Respite is available.

All rooms have garden views and en suite facilities. Emphasis is placed on providing a caring, homely environment.

Professional staff are available 24 hours per day. The amount and type of care offered is tailored to individual needs. All meals are cooked fresh on site with special diets catered for.

A physiotherapist who attends weekly & develops individual programs.
A consulting room for use by local Doctors, physiotherapist & podiatrist.
An on-site hairdressing salon.

We have an "Achievers group" who fund raise for resident equipment to improve lifestyle.

Community vegetable garden with raised garden beds for residents.

A sensory garden.

Units have an "emergency call button" system that connects directly from the Units to the staff in the Hostel 24 hours/day

ILU residents are able to join activities with Hostel residents.

Fresh meals can be purchased by ILU residents.

Laundry can be washed and ironed.

The Hub, a separate "Activities Room", both craft and a "Workshop area" for ILU residents is in operation.

A number of residents have moved from the ILUs into the Hostel as their care needs have increased

There are plans for further ILUs. We take names and place them on a waiting list and provide feedback as the type of Unit you wish to lease becomes available.

Cooinda has further plans to expand and renovate.
