Cooinda Village is a not for profit community for older people in the north east Victorian rural city of Benalla.  Cooinda Village is overseen and goverened by a voluntary Committee of Management.

Onsite Cooinda Village has a Residential Aged Care facility which is fully accreditated by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency. 

At Cooinda Village we care for people who have low, high and respite care needs. All seventy eight rooms offer ensuite facilities and are sensitively arranged in a garden setting.

In addition to the Residential Aged Care facility, Cooinda Village offers the option of independant living in our Independant Living Units.  In the units there is access to a nurse for emergency care 24 hours per day. The units, all located in a garden setting, range in size and style, featuring various designs which are particulary suited to accommodation needs of older people. A building program for additional units is continuing.

At Cooinda Village we have team of highly professional staff.  All staff are trained to provide individualised, quality, compassionate care and services. We strive to earn the trust, respect and confidence of our residents, and to ensure each person's needs are known and met.

All delicious meals are cooked fresh on site by our own staff. 

At Cooinda Village people have the combination of excellent care and a vibrant health and wellbeing program to keep people fit, active and enjoying life. We have large open outdoor areas and rooms which are available for a broad range of activities and for socialising.  

Our residents are very happy. When asked the question recently ‘taking everything into account how would you rate Cooinda Village overall’  98% provided a positive response.  Recently an elderly person accessing respite  at Cooinda Village wrote to thank the staff stating ‘ I find it hard to express in words, my appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the care provided.  I wonder at all the kindness, friendship and care one receives at Cooinda.  Cooinda is for me truly a home away from home.’
